I don't think we have ever walked so far!  Kyoto has over 300 temples and over 1600 shrines...and it felt like we saw most of them (all on foot)!  We met some other Aussies who looked at us like we were nuts when they asked how we were getting around Kyoto.  Needless to say we had shin splints and fat ankles by the end.  But it was worth it!

Hands down the most entertaining toilets on the planet. I've never seen so many buttons in my life! This one was in our hotel room and was pretty basic in comparison to some of the public ones. Front wash, back wash, seat heating, deodorisers, lid and seat lifting, flushing sounds (to hide any unlady-like noises) - with volume control?! You name the button, these toilets had it. Totally

Salamander was on the cards this weekend. Box Beach was on fire and if you didn't mind using the local boogers as speed humps, there were some nice peaks up for grabs.  After a surf we headed to Salamander to visit the McDade clan. We ventured back to the Blue Mountains to show the boys Wentworth Falls. Luckily, we took the right tracks this time.Super freaky, climbing up last time was a hell of a lot better. LOVE, LOVE, LOVED this place!It's an isolated little town, surrounded by national park, but still really close to Sydney and Newcastle.  The houses you can see over the other side of the river are in the national park and can only be accessed by boat.  So the residents leave their cars over this side and paddle little tinnies across.  Brilliant!  HAVE to go back to this place.
